The St. Mary's Prefects Elections for the 2024/2025 Academic year is just around the corner, and this year promises to be an exciting one! With a record number of 23 candidates running for various leadership roles, the elections have sparked a great deal of enthusiasm among both students and staff. The positions being contested include Boys Prefect, Girls Prefect, Compound Boys Prefect, Compound Girls Prefect, Canteen Boys Prefect, and Canteen Girls Prefect. What makes this election special is the increased participation—compared to last year’s 21 candidates, this year sees even more students eager to take on leadership responsibilities and make a positive impact in the school community. The number of candidates aspiring for various leadership positions has significantly increased, underscoring the school's rapid progress in achieving its vision of nurturing resilient and transformational leaders. A total of 23 learners, comprising 12 females and 11 males, are competing for positions that include boys and girls school prefect, boys and girls compound overseer, and boys and girls canteen prefect. The higher number of female candidates reflects our commitment to empowering girls to assume diverse leadership roles in their community.
